Strancally Castle

Strancally Castle is a grand, iconic castle located in County Waterford, Ireland. Since being built in the mid seventeenth century it has played home to several high-profile Irish personalities.

In 2002 the castle was bought by a well-known Irish family who set in motion a series of restoration works on the property. Stokesley Architectural Joinery was contracted to tackle all wood work throughout castle after impressing the family while working with them on a massive barn conversion in North Yorkshire, England.

Successfully integrating itself among an existing team of workers, Stokesley Architectural Joinery worked on all the wood work throughout the 20,000 square foot property from large-scale feature pieces such as ecclesiastical and gothic style windows, grand winding staircases, in situ bookcases and fitted kitchens to more basic thing such as mouldings, doors, skirtings and architraves.

After seven years of detailed restoration works, the project was finally completed in 2009.
