Hotel Du Vin

Located in the heart of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, the Hotel Du Vin is a centrepiece of the city and boasts some of its most spectacular views. As the former home of the Tyne Tees Steam Shipping Company, the building is an important part of the city's history and an iconic structure within it.

After being recommended by a timber merchant, Stokesley Architectural Joinery was sub-contracted to work on conversion of the historic building to the Hotel Du Vin.

Working alongside the building contractors The Stokesley team created almost 100 double-glazed, unique design casement windows to fit in with the wider aesthetics of the building and ensure unrestricted views. Made from softwood and treated with preservative, the windows took less than two months to produce and were installed in spring 2006.
